"Me gusta leer en verano" is the name of a campaign organized by Random House Mondadori in Spain. It means "I like to read in Summer" and every year they recommend a list of books using a different animated video. For the summer of 2014, Random House chose the production company Malditas Piezas and me to developed the script and the motion graphics.

The animated short piece is set on a beach in a summer day, showing 13 of the company's newest books. I was responsible for designing all the graphic elements, drawing the set-up, the characters, the book modeling in 3D and composing the final animation in After Effects.
The colors are bright and the ambiance is warm. For each book there's a short animation that relates to the story. A sexy girl suggests taking off the top part of her bikini to present Sasha Grey's "Sociedad Juliette". A cocky guy unveils the book "Beautiful Bastard". A steam ship in the background illustrates Ken Follet's "Winter of the World". The voice over is energetic and soft at the same time.
